STEVE MESSNER
- Four years rowing at Stanford, winning numerous western regional sculling titles in the 1980s, and a national sculling championship in the doubles in 1984
- Rowed as a Masters, winning numerous titles in Europe between 1999 and 2005 as a member of the Tideway Scullers School in London
- His coaching background includes one year as the Head Men’s Coach at California State University, Long Beach, where his team won a Western Sprints title

The East Bay Rowing Club is a non-profit organization serving rowers, coxswains, coaches and parents in Oakland and the broader East Bay area. We are based in the Jack London Aquatic Center, which is owned and operated by the City of Oakland.
